Concertina Wire Installation and accessories
Row Pyramid of Concertina Wire
Row pyramid of galvanized steel concertina with diameters is not less than 960 mm. Concertina wire coils stretched to a maximum of 10 meters. Maximum space between the coil openings after stretched is not more than 18 cm. Core wire is galvanized high tensile wire with diameters 2.5 mm (minimum).
- Razor blade with blade width of 22 mm and spacing of 13 mm.
- All the metals must be galvanized.
Single Small Interior Row of Concertina Wire
Inside the bottom middle row of the pyramid described above, place one additional row of concertina wire coil with diameter of 450 mm. Concertina razor coils stretched to maximum of 10 meters. Maximum space between coil openings after stretched not to exceed 9 cm. Core wire diameters with 2.5 mm (minimum) is galvanized high tensile wire.
- Razor blade with blade width of 22 mm and spacing of 13 mm.
- All the metals must be galvanized.
Tension line wire: 3 rows of galvanized high tensile line wire made out of 3.5 mm diameters (minimum).
Stirrup Wire: Galvanized wire made out of 2.5 mm minimum diameters to secure line wire at all fencing posts.
Tie wire: Galvanized wire made out of 2.0 mm minimum diameters to tie rolls to one another and to post at 500 mm Intervals.
Intermediate line posts
- Made out of 60.3 mm (minimum) diameter pre-galvanized steel.
- Thickness of the steel posts 3.9 mm (minimum).
- Intermediate line posts placed at every 5 meters.
- Total Length of Post: 3.2 m. (approximately 2.8 m. above ground + 0.70 m. Buried into ground).
- All the metals must be pre-galvanized with minimum zinc coating of 450gm/m2.
Straining and corner line posts
- Made out of 73 mm (minimum) diameter pre-galvanized steel pipe.
- Thickness of the steel posts 5.1 mm (minimum).
- Total Length of Post: 3.5 m. (approximately 2.8 m. above ground +0.70 m. Buried into ground).
- Comes along with 2 diagonal support with 2.8 meter length, and 42 mm (minimum) diameter pre-galvanized steel pipes.
- Thickness of the diagonal pipes 3.5 mm (minimum).
- Straining line posts placed at every 66 m.
- All the metals must be pre-galvanized with minimum zinc coating of 450 gm/m2.
Concrete foundation
- Concrete foundation underneath each line posts.
- Concrete foundation dimension and design based on the type of the soil and the weight of the fence.
Anchor rod: 8 mm Diameter and 250 mm long galvanized steel for fixing 2 lower side concertina tapes to the ground. Anchor rods are placed at every 5 meters minimum.
Fence fitting and fixing: Complete fence fitting and fixing assembly must be implemented. All the metals must be hot dipped galvanized with minimum zinc coating of 550 gm/m2.
